Our crane for the dismantlement of the Euler Hermes office building in Hamburg.

In Hamburg, a hook height of 105 metres was needed.

We first set up the tower crane to a height of 48 metres using a mobile crane. In the second stage, the crane rose to the final hook height. For this project, dismantlement could not be managed from a single location because of the curved shape and width of the building. Repositioning to a second location during the course of the project was unavoidable.

The switchover between work location 1 and 2 was managed using a 500-tonne mobile crane. It was positioned between the two locations in such a way that, with its great lifting power and working height of 125 metres, it could complete the relocation in just two days. When the remaining height of the building was down to approx. 30 metres, a long front excavator took over for the final part of demolition.
